Perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa program studi ekonomi syariah dalam perspektif prinsip konsumsi Islam

This study originates from the widespread emergence of various online shopping applications that offer numerous conveniences, a diverse range of products, and various bonuses. This research employs a qualitative approach. The findings indicate that some students engage in online shopping not to fulfill their essential needs but rather for leisure and entertainment, without considering the ethical value of the purchased goods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the consumption behavior of Sharia Economics students in online shopping has not fully aligned with Islamic consumption principles. This misalignment is particularly evident in terms of adherence to Sharia principles and quantitative consumption guidelines. The consumption behavior exhibited by these students tends to resemble excessive or extravagant consumption (ishraf) in Islamic economics.
